Do your certified aides go through criminal background tests?
Yes, all of our aides are fingerprinted and are cleared by the FBI.
What areas do you service?
We are licensed by the NYS DOH to service Westchester, the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
Are the certified aides insured?
Yes, all First-Care of New York employees are covered under our (General, Professional and Workers compensation policies.
Are the aides supervised?
All employees are supervised by a registered nurse, ensuring competency.
What type of ongoing training is given to the certified aides?
All aides are required to complete mandatory annual in-service hours and are deemed competent by our registered nurses.
How often does a registered nurse visit the patient?
A nurse will initially admin the patient to our program and every 3 months reassess the patient's condition or whenever the patient's condition changes.
Is someone available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week?
Yes, an on-call coordinator is available after normal business hours to answer any questions.
How do we pay for the service?
We accept private pay and Long Term Care Insurance.
